Poor Pluto :(
Poor pluto, now not a planet at all, i always thought there ware 9 planets, now there are only 8!
Do you think pluto should be classed as a planet, or is it just a floating iceball that should be forgotten.
I think its sad
What about you?

Re: Poor Pluto :(
The actual reason to pluto not being a planet is:
It is so small that it can't stop objects from hitting it.
If you count pluto as a planet then we have 10 because they discovered another planet near pluto which is bigger but still not a planet so we have 10 planets!

Re: Poor Pluto :(
Yep just finished watching the planets videos. Oh yeah the planets videos where ment to be for over 18's because it was so complicated but not for me.
Re: Poor Pluto :(
Well, I'm quite sure it is still considered a "planet", rather a "dwarf planet". That is, if you define planet as "A celestial body larger than an asteroid or comet, illuminated by light from a star, such as the sun, around which it revolves." Considering that, we'll look at the facts. Pluto is:
The part where it says "..larger than an asteroid or comet" , I'm not sure if it means an asteroid / comet that revolves it, or any old asteroid / comet, so it could still be up for debate...
Btw, Linky, I enjoy astronomy, too. =)
